About Myotonic Facilitation Technique protocols…

Since muscle tone determines the position and alignment of bones, if you adjust the bones and don’t correct the muscular distortion how long will the bones remain aligned?

Would you like to incorporate soft tissue work, but are concerned that it will be time consuming and unprofitable?  Do you have an exam format that allows you to objectively document joint and muscle dysfunction in 15 minutes or less? Would you like to develop total confidence in your ability to diagnose and treat soft tissue injuries?

You’re not alone if you’re finding that it is difficult, and somewhat frustrating, to implement soft tissue skills without having the necessary tools and training.
The good news is that I’ve identified several key areas to help practitioners evaluate and correct soft tissue injuries.  ‘Easy-to-use’ protocols will help develop accurate soft tissue diagnostic and technical skills …and, more importantly, you will learn how to implement these new skills in your practice.

“The Three Most Common Reasons You Struggle With Utilizing Soft Tissue Skills”

Reason #1: Analysing soft tissue function accurately.

When a patient enters your office you need to have diagnostic protocols to evaluate them with confidence and accuracy.  Unless you have a clear-cut approach, you will be like a fish out of water.

Reason #2: Knowing how to effectively correct dysfunctional muscles.

Once you know which muscles and joints need to be corrected, you must have technical skills to get results.  There are many ways to work on soft tissues, but applying the right amount of pressure along the specific lines of force will make or break you.  If you are applying force inaccurately or in an incorrect direction you will be wasting time and money…yours and the patient’s.

Reason #3: Proving your results to the patient, insurance company, and yourself.

You just adjusted a patient and feel like you did a great job until the patient says they don’t notice any difference at all.  Insurance companies want objective documentation, the patient wants immediate results, and you want to know without-a-doubt that the adjustment you made really improved the patient’s function.

The key to overcoming these top three challenges can be summed up in one word: Training.

Training…so that you have greater confidence in your diagnostic skills!

And training…to help become a master of soft tissue skills.  Knowing which tools and techniques work best for each condition will make you a more competent provider!  Increasing your depth of knowledge and training with skilled soft tissue practitioners will add to your repertoire of techniques and better results.

If you want to be known as the soft tissue expert in your town, your patients must believe, at a gut level, that your skills are “worth” it.

Worth the cash they’ll have to scrape together to pay their charges.

Worth the time they’ll have to take to travel to your office.

“The Three Critical Ingredients Your Soft Tissue Skills Must Have”

If your goal is to help patients perform at higher levels of function, your soft tissue diagnostic skills must meet this three-prong test:

1) They must address the patient’s fears, desires and needs.
2) They must convince patients of the value.
3) They must reassure patients that they are seeing the right doctor.
Introducing Myotonic Facilitation Technique –

Myotonic Facilitation Technique uses a comprehensive approach to soft tissue diagnosis and treatment.  It incorporates the application of every bony and soft tissue techniques known while utilizing multiple diagnostic tools to evaluate patient response to care.
Diagnostic skills include postural analysis, dynamic motion analysis, muscle palpation protocols, and eccentric break strength testing protocols.  Dr. Turnbull will also share rehab protocols developed from traditional rehab training combined with therapeutic stretching from yoga, martial arts, and snowboarding.
Since 1990, Dr. Turnbull has been developing principles that allow the physician to accurately evaluate soft tissue function and methods to create results in muscle performance instantly.
In these seminars, Dr. Turnbull will train you to use the simple step-by-step processes he uses when treating world-class athletes.

Since 1991, Dr. Turnbull has had the opportunity to treat Olympians, NFL Pros, WVU football, track, and crew members, professional skiers and snowboarders, martial arts/yoga masters, and professional musicians.

Dr. Turnbull has used these strategies and techniques to treat all types of athletes in various situations such as … adjusting hockey players between periods to improve strength and mobility … helping an Olympic marathon hopeful run again after only one treatment [he was unable to walk or run for months and had been treated by all kinds of practitioners] … getting the WVU starting fullback in the game after the other docs said he should be out for two weeks due to a thigh injury [again only one treatment was needed].

And now you can put these same ideas to work for your patients.

“Skills You Will Learn”

Here is a list of the skills Dr. Turnbull will share in his seminars. Which topics interest you the most?

  • Analyzing Dynamic Joint Function – Is the patient suffering due to joint dysfunction or some other cause?

  • Functional Strength Testing Protocols – Quick, accurate analysis of muscle function to determine where correction is needed.

  • Updating Neuro-Muscular Pathways – Stimulating muscle spindles and golgi tendon organs[GTO’s] for instantaneous results.  [The ‘WOW’ factor]

  • How to Correct Tendonitis – It is not as complex as you may think.

  • Instrumentation – Adjusting protocols and evaluating the effects of different adjusting tools on soft tissue function and performance?

  • Joint Unlocking – How to teach your patients, and yourself, to open and release joints that have become locked-up.

  • World Class Rehab Protocols – Therapeutic stretching protocols based on yoga, martial arts, and snowboarding help elite athletes unleash their full potential.

  • Sports Nutrition – Learn how to ‘feed the machine’ for maximum performance and recovery.

  • Manual Techniques – Pick and choose from over a dozen different therapies to treat soft tissue problems.

  • And a whole lot more – MyoCranial work, differential diagnosis, PARTS diagnostic protocols, etc.

“The #1 Reason to Attend This Seminar”

The most important reason you should train with Dr. Turnbull is because you desire to be the best provider you can be!  To be the best means that you have to train with the best.  Great physicians can quickly identify patient’s problems.  They can tell if their patients are doing their exercises effectively.  They are able to adapt and refine their home therapy for better results.
Dr. Turnbull will lead participants through an intensive hands-on, clinical workshop that allows participants to fine tune their diagnostic and adjusting skills.  Practical training is required to truly master soft tissue skills.  There is a significant amount of seminar time devoted to practicing diagnostic testing and applying a wide variety of soft tissue techniques. Register today to expand your expertise as a skilled soft tissue practitioner.

“After 25 years of practice, I can still learn new skills.  Thanks Dr. Turnbull for an excellent seminar.”

Dr. George Ruggi, DC, CCSP – New York

“You are definitely a very caring, skilled and enthusiastic doctor and I would appreciate you as my doctor.  You are an excellent presenter and were very humble in your presentation.  I really enjoyed your approach to treatment of the whole patient.  You also empower your patients and do not make them co-dependent upon you.  Essentially being a chiropractic aspirin.  You strive to truly get the patient well, as opposed to treating the symptoms.  We need more dedicated doctors doing the same as you to continue raising the bar on patient care standards.”
L. Jon Porman, DC, CCSP, RTP – Arizona

“I only attended Dr. Turnbull’s seminar to get my CEU credits [I even brought a book to read in case it was boring].  The seminar was so good that I now drive 2 hours to train with Dr. Turnbull on my days off.

I have had thoracic pain for over five years.  The pain would range from mild to severe.  When the pain was severe I would get adjusted regularly and the pain would be mild at best.  I could not jump rope or jog for more than 10 minutes without my back going into spasms and making it difficult to breathe.  I had constant pain all day.  Dr. Turnbull worked on my thoracics and the pain was gone and is still gone after four months.  This technique is so effective that your patients will see immediate results.

Even if you are not interested in learning a new technique you should go to this seminar just to have Dr. Turnbull work on your spine, it is well worth your time and money.  If you have any questions about how awesome this seminar is please email me at lattimer1@verizon.net or call 304-472-6393.
Thank you Dr. Turnbull for getting me out of pain and more importantly making me a better chiropractor.
